Welcome to the Press Room Event Center. This Press Room is located downtown South Whitley. Our facility features a spacious event space with beautiful brick walls accompanied by a brick arch as a focal point to the main event area. Nostalgic original wood floors, accompanied by a historic glass entryway assist in creating an elegant space for any occasion. This event space is perfect for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, graduation celebrations, birthday parties, company parties, corporate events, or any of your event needs.

Bridal and Groom Suites

If you are looking for something in the wedding event category, look no further. Our facility offers bride and groom suites. The bridal suite has been designed with the bride and her bridesmaids in mind. There is a countertop, mirror, and chairs allowing you the space for a makeup artist and beautician, along with space for you and your bridesmaids to change in the privacy of your own space. The grooms suite has overtones of a man cave, along with a unique space to adorn a suite or jeans and a cowboy hat, and chill before the day's festivities begin.

All-Inclusive Wedding Plans

Also unique to our facility is our all-inclusive wedding plans. We offer a stress-free solution to planning your special day. Just give us your guest count, along with the decor selection from our provided options, and we will set up the event space with everything from table coverings, table decorations, chairs, head table arrangement, cake table with cupcakes and bridal cake, flowers, and music. This is a true turn-key solution, allowing you the opportunity to utilize the bridal suites, facility kitchen...set back and enjoy the day!

Wedding Rates and Fees

Amenities include event venue attendant, round tables with chairs, banquet tables for food, cake and gifts, set up of custom floor plan, use of venues kitchen, clean up excluding personal belongings, load out is one hour after event ends.

White or black lap length table cloths - $40 fee

Note: you are responsible for food, decorations, and flower vendors of your choice

Friday: $800 (9am - 10pm, additional hours at $100/hr)

Saturday: $1200 (9am - 10pm, additional hours at $150/hr)

Sunday: $800 (9am - 10pm, additional hours at $100/hr)

Friday & Saturday combined: (9am - 10pm per day $2000)(additional hours at $150/hr)

All Inclusive Weddings

Use of the bridal suites, venue attendant, round tables and chairs, banquet tables for the food, cake and gifts, set up of custom floor plan, table decor and venue decorations to include flowers (your choice of three plans, bridal cake from list of options, use of the venue kitchen, dj, non-alcoholic drink service, (soft drinks, fruit infused water, coffee). Note: Guest cupcakes can be added at $1.50 per person. Meal option pricing available from our approved vendor list.

Maximum - 90 guests

Friday 9am-10pm $2500

Saturday 9am-10pm $3000

Sunday 9am-10pm $2300

All Inclusive Micro Weddings (maximum of 50 guests for 5 hours max)

Items Needed for Rental

Certificate of Insurance from your Insurance company (with alcohol limited liability if there will be alcohol) Security or Police Officer required if alcohol being served while the bar is open.

Event Rates and Fees - baby & bridal showers, graduations, small gatherings

Sunday through Thursday $300 (4 to 6 hours) Additional hours at $50/hr

Friday or Saturday $500 (4 to 6 hours) Additional hours at $80/hr

Tables and chairs are included.Also includes use of the venues kitchen

Repast or Celebration of Life

When it comes to hosting the repast, there are no set rules. For additional help planning the repast for a loved one at The Press Room please call Jen Krider at 260-609-8883.

Site fee for The Pressroom for 4 hours for a repast $200 this includes use of the kitchen and tables and chairs

The Press Room was the perfect venue for our wedding. The space is unique and was comfortable for our 60 guests. All the details were handled by the staff from the decor to the drink menu. Jen was accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. I highly recommend this venue for any event.
